A range of presenters from Government and consulting will provide how the latest Bureau of Meteorology Rainfall and Forecasting products are being used. This will include an example of flood modelling radar rainfall calibration. A summary of the different riverine forecasting system (using no or minimal meteorology products) will be presented (such as incorporating ADFD forecasts) and moving into more complex system arrangements. BoM will provide a  presentation on all of the new current and future products, what they are and how they work. A specific example of a BoM/ Ipswich City Council trial utilising new STEPS and Rainfields products through an industry first live flash flood forecasting systems will be demonstrated.  Furthermore an insight into how an Emergency Management response team would utilise this data in an actual flood event will be provided.
