Leon has been associated with the Stormwater proprietor ‘SPEL Stormwater’ since the culmination of 2013 and his mission is to assist SPEL in its efforts to improving stormwater & wastewater quality and compliance standards throughout Asia Pacific. Leon currently works in a business development role for the company and has done so throughout the past seven years.  He has a lot of experience and technical knowledge on the functionalities of proprietary and green stormwater assets. He has spent extensive time monitoring and maintaining stormwater assets in several locations over South-East Queensland and has also assisted in designs and installations for hundreds of SQUIDs for new developments through Queensland. Above all, we had an overall grasp on where the stormwater industry is now and keen to be involved in assisting to develop and progress any future initiatives.

 

Brad Dalrymple

Brad is a Principal Environmental Engineer at Ocean Protect. Brad has over twenty years’ experience in various projects associated with environmental engineering, and has CPEng and RPEQ accreditation. Brad has been responsible for the planning, design and implementation of integrated water management and water sensitive urban design strategies for a range of applications – from many small-scale ‘retrofit’ projects, several high-profile and award-winning master-planned communities, and catchments and regions.

Paul Dubowski

Professional Profile

Paul is a senior environmental scientist at BMT with 17 years of experience in environmental management. With a diverse background and experience he brings a broad range of skills to the company working across a range of fields including stormwater quality, ecology and waterways management. Prior to his current role, Paul spent two years with the Water by Design program of the South East Queensland Healthy Waterways Partnership focusing on sustainable urban water management. He was involved with the management, delivery and support of: local and state policy; guidelines; professional development initiatives; and organisational strengthening initiatives for local governments. Paul also has 5 years of experience in local government managing ecological impacts of urban development through development assessment, environmental management and policy. He has been an active member of Stormwater Queensland committee for 7 years leading the development of a range of advocacy and engagement initiatives and events. He is the current Chair of the Advocacy and Engagement Sub-Committee.

 

Randall Hall

Randall is a civil engineer with six years experience within the industry, with particular emphasis on stormwater infrastructure and is currently representing Holcim/Humes as the Water Solutions Manager for Queensland.  Randall has expertise in business development, design and project management in the stormwater infrastructure sector through precast concrete solutions in conveyance, storage and treatment.

 

Courtney Henderson

Professional Profile

Dr Courtney Henderson is a Water Sensitive Urban Design specialist with 7 years of academic experience (including a PhD in stormwater bioretention systems), and 14 years in consulting. He has skills in vegetation ecology, soil science, water chemistry, and urban hydrology. He worked initially in the monitoring of ecosystem health, but most of his experience has been in the design, reporting, and implementation of WSUD in urban, peri-urban and industrial environments, and the assessment and mitigation of impacts to receiving environments.

 

Bill Johnson

Professional Profile

Bill is a Director with Strategic Environmental and Engineering Consulting (SEEC) based in Brisbane. He has 30 years experience in the water engineering and infrastructure fields working in local government, large and small consultancies where he has gained skills in stormwater management, drainage, water resources, water quality, Water Sensitive Urban Design, flood modelling and erosion and sediment control. Bill is a Registered Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) and a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) and has a particular interest in WSUD, water quality and erosion. He has been a member of Stormwater Queensland for almost 20 years and has served on the committee in a variety of roles. He is currently on the Membership & Advocacy Sub-committee. Away from work, you will find him supporting the Bulldogs, coaching kids’ cricket, fishing, and spending time with family.

 

Clint Mead

Clint Mead has been in the Stormwater industry for 14 years, started off building and installing Stormwater pump stations. Since starting with SPEL in 2011 he has had a large input in SPEL’s R&D team developing and testing their products. His love for adventure and the beach drives his passion to keep our water ways as clean as possible. Clint currently is the National Business development manager at SPEL Stormwater, providing solutions to our clients stormwater needs ensuring his children will be able to swim at clean beaches when they grow up.

 

Himanthi Mendis

Professional Profile

In 2018, Himanthi completed a Bachelor of Civil and Environmental Engineering with First Class Honours from the Queensland University of Technology.  Since joining Bligh Tanner, Himanthi has found a passion for integrated water management and water sensitive urban design. She is gaining experience in the detailed design of water and sewerage networks. She has been involved in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling for urban and rural catchments and has provided several stormwater management plans for various developments including residential, educational and commercial.  A highlight of her career so far has been the Western Parkland City: Urban Typologies and Stormwater Solutions project.
