There is a lot happening in the association at the moment including webinars, our Sustainability Summit and the annual awards process. None of this would happen without our dedicated volunteer committee members and so it is a timely reminder that our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be taking place in the coming months. At this AGM, all committee members, with the exception of the president, will vacate their seats and nominations will then be welcomed from our membership.

  • Awards coordination
  • Annual conference
  • Event planning (webinars, in person events)
  • Advocacy (position papers, engagement with government)
  • Social media / communications (liaising with social media sub-consultant, coordinating the newsletter)
  • Membership (engaging with student members, following up renewals, promoting the organisation)
  • Engagement with Stormwater Australia
  • Treasurer (and assistant treasurer)
  • Secretary (and assistant secretary)
  • Vice President

Who are we looking for?

  • Proactive people
  • People who can work both independently and as part of a team
  • People who are passionate about the stormwater industry
  • People who can find small bursts of time in their week to progress the association
  • Positive people
  • People who can work and meet virtually.

How do I get onto the committee?

  • Forms are above to download.
  • Find two current members to support your nomination (email us if you don’t know any!)
  • Think about who might support your nomination if it comes down to a vote. In the interest of fairness, be aware that votes may be done in person or by using a ‘proxy’ form and in the past, proxy votes have definitely impacted on voting outcomes.
